Tesla Model Y electric car

Tesla Launches New Model Y With Longer Range

Tesla has launched an updated version of its ‘Long-Range’ Model Y, which now offers 320 miles per charge. The previous model offered 260 miles. The bump to 320 miles is not only appreciated — it puts it squarely in the range of many small and mid-sized gas-powered cars (300-350 miles of range is common in mid-sized gasoline-powered cars).

However, that does come at a cost. The price of the car got a little bump too! $3,000, so that model now starts at $45,000. The car can be leased for $300 per month. Crossing the 300-mile mark should help to make the car easier to sell, although it isn’t exactly struggling as it is. It accounted for a third of all electric vehicle sales in Q4 of 2023 (33% to be exact).
