The NHTSA and Ford are recalling Ford Maverick pickup trucks manufactured between 2022 and 2024 for tail lights that don’t illuminate when they’re supposed to. This safety issue could make it difficult for other drivers to see the truck at night, increasing the likelihood of collisions.
The issue is caused by the body control module, which fails to power on the main position light. The issue will be fixed via a software update. The recall affects 242,669 trucks and the updates will be provided by the truck dealers.
