The 2024 BMW i4 xDrive40 electric car will be launched in the United States with 307 miles of range and 396 HP. The vehicle is equipped with dual electric motors and is powered by an 80 kWh lithium-ion battery bank. The 307 miles of range offered by this vehicle is offered with the standard 18-inch wheels.
The version with 19-inch wheels offers a considerably shorter 282 miles of range. 307 miles is approximately the same range offered by many gasoline-powered sedans on a full tank. Add the fact that you can charge your electric car at home and you’ve got a convenient setup that enables you to wake up to the full 307 miles every day. Just plug it in overnight after work. The range estimate was provided by BMW through their own testing, not via EPA testing.
The i4 xDrive40’s 443 pound-feet of torque and 396 HP power output is substantial and will result in peppy performance at the very least. It accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds. The car also supports DC fast charging, which enables it to charge at a rate of 205 kW, which can cut down on charging wait times. The 2024 BMW i4 xDrive40 will be offered for a starting price of $61,600. It’s not a cheap car, but it will be a fun one to drive.
