Netflix Adding Spatial Audio Support For iPhones And iPads

Netflix is rolling out spatial audio support for iPhones and iPads. The spatial audio feature has been rolled out to music streaming services such as Apple Music recently and its appeal is that it enhances the separation (or ‘space’) between sounds or instruments in the audio you are playing. This makes watching movies with headphones more interesting as you’ll feel immersed (or at least, more so than you usually would when using headphones). The rollout of spatial audio on Netflix is well underway, and some reddit users are already able to use it. Some of the users that reported it is working have the iPhone 11, iPhone XS Max, and AirPods Max. In the future, Apple intends to add spatial audio to Mac OS and tvOS.
