Samsung Galaxy S10 Leak Reveals Crypto Wallet, Hole-punch Screen

Images of the new Samsung Galaxy S10 have allegedly been leaked, and they reveal a hole-punch display and a cryptocurrency wallet.

In this case ‘hole-punch’ display refers to a camera that is installed in the screen, since there isn’t anywhere else to put the selfie camera (since the front of the phone is almost entirely screen). Designs like this enable phone manufacturers to squeeze in a larger screen without making the phone larger/harder to fit into your pocket or purse.

The cryptocurrency wallet is the ‘Samsung Blockchain KeyStore‘, which can create a new cryptocurrency wallet or import one. This could help to encourage cryptocurrency adoption as people who consider it illegitimate may rethink that after an established company such as Samsung gets involved. Choosing a legitimate wallet app is also a challenge for someone new to cryptocurrencies, so it’s highly convenient (and safe) for beginners if their phones already come with one.
